We have now approached sweater weather and transitioned from summer to fall. The season of ankle boots, pumpkin spice latte and chillier days. I've round up a few transitional outfit tips to help you get ready for the fall season.

1) Add Layers

You can add outer layers to your fit such as:

- Denim jacket

- Leather jacket

- Blazer

You can also include other layers such as a long sleeve top, cardigan, or knitted sweaters.

Transitional outfit Ideas:

  • Add a jeans jacket or knitted sweater over a summer dress

  • Wear a cardigan over a tank top

2) Incorporate Fall colors

- Let me let you in on a little style secret, "Look at the colors of the leaves around you to create stylish fall outfits". Nature is the real style expert. Mix bright fall colors like (orange, red, and yellow) with neutral tone colors like (grey, brown, beige, black or white) to create stylish fall outfits.

3) Change length of garments

- In the summer months we wear less layers of clothing and show more skin. Now the weather is cooler, we show less skin. You can opt for different lengths or garments like ankle-length trouser instead of denim shorts.

You can also mix the proportions and go with more clothes on the top with a knitted sweater and less clothes on the bottom with a mini skirt. Remember it's all about being comfy and stylish.

4) Incorporate warm fabrics in your wardrobe

- Swap out linen shorts (cooler fabrics) for leather shorts/pants (warmer fabrics).

Here is a list of warm fabrics:

- Flannel

- Corduroy

- Tweed

- Wool

- Denim

- Silk

-Fleece

-Cashmere

5) Add warm accessories to your outfit

- Add warm accessories such as a scarf, hat, gloves or leather bags.

You can also change the colors of your nail polish to darker shades like (burgundy, green, or red) for a simple yet stylish fall touch.
