I'm Chrisann Anderson, a Jamaican-born fashion enthusiast based in New York. My love for fashion ignited at a tender age. To me, fashion was more than just clothing—it was a means of self-expression and empowerment. I found joy in styling virtual dolls online and meticulously coordinating outfits for my Bratz dolls, recognizing that dressing up wasn't merely about appearance but about embracing confidence.

Much of my inspiration stems from my rich cultural heritage and upbringing. Memories of my parents ensuring my siblings and I were impeccably dressed for the first day of school are etched vividly in my mind. The aroma of freshly sprayed starch on crisply ironed school uniforms and the shine of black shoe polish serves as reminders of my humble beginnings.

In my household, presentation was important, whether it was for a graduation ceremony, a somber funeral, or a joyous birthday celebration. We embraced the notion that there's no such thing as being overdressed—"Style a Style and Style cah spoil”.

Despite my love for fashion, I pursued a Master of Science degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology; my love for fashion remained unwavering. However, even amidst corporate endeavors, my passion for fashion persisted. By day, I delved into the corporate world analyzing large data sets, while by night, I immersed myself in fashion content creation.

It wasn't until I faced the setback of losing a job or was it really a setup to pursue what truly brings me joy—creating and helping others through fashion. Reflecting on my journey, I find it serendipitous how my childhood passion seamlessly intertwined with my present. As the Jamaican saying goes, "Man a plan, but God a wipe," emphasizing that while we may plan our lives, it is ultimately God guiding our paths.
