Spring/Summer '22 Trends

The Spring season is here and before you know it, its Summer!

But before then I got you covered on the latest trends and styles to help you prepare to slay this spring/summer season.

1) Varsity Jacket

There's nothing like a classic varsity jacket. They are a must have closet essential and trending this year. They are versatile yet stylish and are the perfect outer layer for those chilly spring days.

2) Zebra Print

The hottest and purrrrrfect print to add to your wardrobe. You can go full head to toe zebra print by wearing a two-piece set OR if you want to just test it out, you can style it like how I did below. I paired this zebra print top with a solid color (black pleated skirt), pop of color accessories (red pumps and blue purse). Spice up your fit this season by adding zebra print!

3) Dopamine dressing

Next up is Dopamine dressing! This trend is all about bright colors. Dopamine dressing is the idea of how the clothing we wear influences our mood and the mood of people around us. Researchers and style experts have found, bright colors can set off the release of dopamine, a feel good hormone. A similar feeling when you smell your favorite food being cooked. "Mmmmm, the smell of sweet plantain being fried, Yum!" Lol I got distracted for a sec, back to colors and feeling good. Think about a bright color that make you feel good. For me, its PINK, for others it may be YELLOW, GREEN, BLUE or other colors. Bright colors like, Orange, Yellow, Electric blue, Green, and Red are often used when creating the dopamine dressing style.

4) Green accessories

Once again, green has made a come back this spring from lasy year summer '21. Get ready to see more of it as we approach the summer season.

Here I styled this green purse with lilac purple shoulder pad top, white shorts and nude heels with a touch of green in my accessories of course!

Tip: If you want to try a trend or style start out small by incorporating it in your accessories.

5) Platform heels

These Versace Platform pumps is giving me Y2K, Bratz doll vibes. But they are one of this seasons hottest trends. If your daring and want to have a little fun they are the perfect show stopper to add to your fit.

6) White Suits

A closet essential no matter the season. A white suit offers versatility because the pants can be styles separately from the blazer, or wear the full suit together. I don't know about you but I feel like a boss whenever I wear a suit, not to mention a crisp white tailored suit, call me Michelle Obama! lol
